Hi guys!! ![]()
This might be a really weird post, but I have been making my site for over a month now and I am realising I am scared to put it out into the world
I’m not really the type of person to be super active online, so even though I know its unlikely anyone will ever really see my site, I’m still super nervous to have it available online for the world to see. ![]()
I keep shifting the goalpost on what I need to complete before I post my website. At first I wanted a functioning homepage, then I wanted to have all of my tabs up and running, and now I want to fill my site with content before I even release it.
Realistically, the chance of someone ever even opening my site and getting to the point of looking at any of these posts is very low, but even still, I want there to be content here if anyone ever does get this far!
My issue is I’m not a particularly good writer or artist like many of the other amazing people on here, so I’m not really sure what cool things I can fill out this site with. I picked up this whole Neocities thing because I enjoy frontend development, but I’m definitely not good at filling out my site with cool content. I have a lot of hobbies that maybe I’ll add someday, but they are more physical things like nail art and crochet, so I’m not sure what way would be best to do that.
I wonder if its just a me problem to feel nervous to post things online? Its not even a worry about getting criticised. I think its just that weird feeling of putting something out into the ether and not really knowing what will happen afterwards.
Part of me wants to totally remove the personal blog post section! It feels like it reveals a little too much about me and like something I would never really share online. But the weird thing is that ultimately you will never know me (unless you do, in which case hello there hehe) and I will never know that you have read this. Weird!!
Anyways, for any of you out there who post your work without worry, know that you are very cool and I hope to be like you someday! And if you have read this far through my weird thought process, thank you very much!! ![]()
